A specific kind of trope is found in oxymoron in which the tenor and vehicle are diametrically opposite, antonymous, and, therefore, the vehicle is in contradiction with the tenor it qualifies.
At first sight, oxymoronic collocations seem irrational, but, on closer examination, we find that they disclose the complexity of things, the contradictoriness of the world.
