Buses are great for tourism. In Italy the income from bus tourism amounts to one billion euros a year. Tourists who choose to travel by bus spend on average 40% more time on vacation than other travellers. 90% people choosing to travel by bus are satisfied with their own journey. As a matter of fact, touristic coaches are extremely flexible and can be used for every kind of route, to carry home thousands supporters after a football match, or to take tourists to the remotest corners of the world.
Buses offer cheap, reliable and flexible services for everybody. Buses are by far the most common means of transport in Italy. In our country, bus transport is among the sectors that offer more job opportunities, employing more than 98,000 people.
Bus is by far the safest road vehicle, and its performance can be compared to the train, although, unlike trains, buses do not have any dedicated infrastructure, having thus to share roads with cars and rubber freight transportation.
